Elocution Rules

Time Limit: 5 minutes

Choose one of the following topics. 

English topics 

Junior : 

• My Best Friend / Favorite Movie / Favorite Book
• If I were the principal for the day
• Why curiosity can be more powerful than knowledge

Senior : 

• The Difference between popularity and influence
• Is convenience making us less human
• The ethics of Artificial Intelligence

Adults : 

• A letter to the next generation
• Success revisited : Achievement vs fulfillment
• The illusion of choice in this digital age

Malayalam topics : 

Junior : 

• അമേരിക്കയിലെ എന്റെഓണം
• എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള കേരളഭക്ഷണം
• സത്യം പറയുന്നതിന്റെ ശക്തി

Senior : 

• മാറ്റം തുടങ്ങുന്നത് എന്നിൽ നിന്നാണ്
• സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം: അവകാശത്തോടൊപ്പം ഉത്തരവാദിത്വവും
• എന്റെ നാട് – ഞാൻ കണ്ടതും കേട്ടതും

Adults : 

• KCS അസോസിയേഷൻ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ എന്ത് നഷ്ടപ്പെടുമായിരുന്നു?
• വിദേശജീവിതം: സ്വപ്നവും സത്യവും
• വീട്ടിലെ ഭക്ഷണ യുദ്ധങ്ങൾ: ചോറ് vs പിസ

Instructions: 

Judging Criteria: Introduction of the subject (5 points), Structure – organization, development of material, transition (10 points), Language Grammar – pronunciation, vocabulary, verbal clarity (15 points), Content – relevance to topic, logic, originality, accuracy, anecdotes, illustrations (25 points), Delivery – appearance, poise, self-confidence, speaking style, voice modulation, facial expression, audience contact, enthusiasm, gesticulation, effectiveness, mannerisms (25 points), Recapitulation and conclusion (15 points) and Timing (5 points).

Notes – notes are permitted, however the speech should not be read verbatim and excessive reference of note will result in score deduction (10 points),

The decision of the judges will be final. Please note that the registration number should be displayed physically or pinned on the participant. Please do not add the registration number graphically . Edited videos will be rejected.
