STEAM Rules and Guidelines

General Guidelines

  • Participants currently enrolled in Elementary, Middle, and High School are eligible to participate in the event, your participation is completely voluntary.
  • A participant is allowed to participate only in one project in each item.
  • While registering for multiple events there are chances for conflicts for participants. Program Time cannot be altered based on participants request.
  • A team can consist of participants within the same category or from different category (Elementary, Middle or High school). The highest grade of the participant in the team will be considered as the grade of the team
  • Participants are expected to maintain the highest standard of honesty and integrity.
  • The decision of the judges is final.
  • Safety Rules – All hazardous substances or devices, flames or flammable materials, dry ice, sharp materials, animals, and body fluids are not permitted.

1. Each artist will exhibit their original artwork (painting, Drawing, Pencil Sketches, Handmade crafts/wall hangings, Crochets, and/or sculpture).
2. Participant can bring their Item and exhibit. Easels will not be provided; you are welcome to bring. A Table will be provided for display.
3. Elementary, Middle, and high school kids can participate

1. Each team will set up and exhibit their STEM project. They can demo and talk about it to the Judges and viewers
2. Students from Elementary, Middle school, High School can participate in the event.
3. A student can participate as individual or with a team.
4. A team can have minimum of 1 and maximum 4 members
5. If an elementary student is forming a team with middle school or high school student,
The highest grade of the student in a team will be considered as the grade of the team.
6. Every participant will get a registration ID during registration and to be displayed at the table. All participant must have Individual registration.
7. A table will be provided, additional table is available to purchase at the venue at $6 per table

Guidelines for Project Display

  • Each group will be assigned a number and a corresponding table to set-up the project during check-in.
  • Projects not displayed by 12:00 PM will be disqualified.
  • Display project board size – standard, three-panel display that unfolds to be 36″ tall by 48″ wide.
  • The tri-fold presentation board must stand by itself.
  • During judging and public viewing, please be patient and stay with your project.
  • Participants must be present during the entire judging process to be eligible for awards.
  • It is the participants responsibility to clean up the project and any project materials at the end of the event.

 

Judging Criteria: Projects will be evaluated based on creativity, scientific thinking, clarity of explanation, and how well the scientific method is followed.

1. The Registration is only open for few Instruments this time including Flute, Violin, Guitar, Saxophone, Trumpet,Tabla
2. Each artist registered shall perform on stage for 3 to 4 min and Max of 2 min for setting up on stage.
3. Multiple entries with the same participant, although in different category is not allowed.
4. Elementary, Middle, and high school kids can participate

1. Each artist/team will create their Origami art work at the Venue.
2. Elementary, Middle, Highschool students can participate.
3. A team can have minimum of 1 and maximum 2 members
4. Every participant will get a registration ID during registration and to be displayed at the table. All participant must have Individual registration.

5.Participant should bring their own Origami Material. Use of Glue, tape, adhesive or any other material other than Origami paper are not permitted.

6.Entries must be made from a single sheet of paper, with no cutting or tearing allowed. 

7.Adding anything other than the paper itself (e.g., paints, stickers, etc.) is not permitted. 

Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged on creativity, precision and neatness of folds, overall presentation. Bonus points may be awarded for complexity and use of innovative folding techniques.

1. AI artist will create their art at the venue. AI ART should be created based on the Theme provided. Best of the AI ART will be chosen
2. Competition is for Middle, Highschool.
3. The artwork must be created by the participant using AI tool at the venue.
4. A Participant must have an Android or I-phone with data connection.
5. Before the competition, Download ChatGPT and create a login in your name
6. Theme will be provided on the SPOT
7. Only the last one entry from the participant is accepted.
8. Every participant will get a Registration ID after registration and to be displayed at the table

Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on creativity and how well the artwork reflects the given theme with AI
